A 3 hour session providing a specific approach for subject leaders to give strong account in History in your schoolSchool Impact
By the end of this training you will:
Have put together a first draft of your own History Powerpoint structuring and summarising the key messages and information required when communicating the impact of the Quality of Education and Leadership & Management in History to head teachers, governors, other stakeholders and Ofsted.
Be ready to give strong account for History during the subject leader meeting in a deep dive (History Subject Leader Conversation with the Inspectors)
Be informed by updated Education Inspection Framework methodology and Ofsted’s research reviews and subject reports (April 2021) and as History subject leader directed to reflect upon what you know about progress and impact in History in your school and how to share information about:
1.History : Context, Website, Attainment
2.Intent, Rationale & Progress across your History curriculum:
-Key knowledge across all the strands of History (Both statutory & non-statutory)
3.Sequencing, Assessment & Long Term Memory
4.Culture & Inclusivity
5.Leadership Systems to Secure Impact:
-Monitoring and Evaluation
-CPD
-Self Evaluation and Strategic Planning – including key strengths and areas for development
