This session has been completely re-written taking into account the NEW Inspection Framework from September 2019. The Focus of this subject leader training is on: Securing a systematic, manageable and highly efficient approach to monitoring & evaluation in the New Inspection Framework

By the end of the sessions delegates will:

• Have planned a DEEP DIVE for their subject to conduct back in school;

• Refining systems, structures and programmes of monitoring & evaluation in their school in the long, medium and short term linked to your self -evaluation and strategic planning.

• Know how to improve teaching and learning in core and foundation subjects through a coaching approach used by all subject/ middle leaders.

• Have a full set of NEW monitoring and evaluation materials linked to the NEW Framework (NIF);

• Design and secure a monitoring plan/ programme for curriculum subjects;

• Be clear about how subject leaders will demonstrate the quality of pupil outcomes in the New Inspection Framework through monitoring & a triangulated approach;

• Develop coaching and mentoring skills;

• Understand how coaching can empower their team;

• Identify an issue that needs to be addressed in school and work through using the coaching & mentoring process
