Overview
A 2-hour Time2Train session for Art subject leaders to develop a whole school approach to planning and delivering Art in your Primary school, focusing on the knowledge and skills, techniques, media and vocabulary specific to working in textiles and collage across all years in the Primary School.School Impact
This is the sixth of a series of 6 sessions which can be booked individually or as a package.We can help you put in place a robust Art curriculum, ensuring progression of knowledge and skills and a comprehensive coverage of media throughout the school.
There will be a practical element to the course, all requirements for equipment and materials will be sent out prior to the course so that delegates can be prepared. Hopefully it will be a fun session which will enable Art subject leads to support their colleagues and non- art specialist to feel confident to deliver working in textiles and collage in their schools.
Exempla material is shared and during the session, you will be coached and supported by an ECM adviser to complete your own progression of knowledge and skills in working in textiles and collage.
By the end of the session:
1. Subject leaders will have a bank of textiles and collage vocabulary to use.
2. Subject leaders will have textiles and collage activities they can take back to school to use in classes and to support non-art specialist colleagues with the delivery of teaching 3D work.
3. Subject leaders will be clear on progression of knowledge and skills in textiles and collage across a primary school.
4. Subject leaders will have some suggestions of artists to study which will enrich the textiles and collage techniques taught.
