EY02 Session 2 Early Years Mastery, Application and Deep Learning - Teach it! Practice it! Apply it!

Overview

This is the second of 2 Time2Train sessions which will help you to understand how children learn and how essential the indoor and outdoor environment is in enabling children to deepen their understanding and apply their skills.

School Impact

You will be supported by an ECM adviser to evaluate the purpose and context of your environment and to ensure you fully understand the purpose and importance of the outdoors.

By the end of both sessions, you will:
• understand what ‘teach, practise, apply’ looks like in the classroom and outside;
• plan a small unit of learning using context and purpose, inside and outside, to engage children into learning; and
• share ideas between course leaders and other delegates.
